JR Pitch Alberta is a weekend retreat specifically designed to help junior-high students understand the good news about Jesus. We want them to understand that they can have a very real relationship with the living God that will affect their every-day decision making, the quality of their relationships with others, and the overall direction for their life. This message is communicated in an upbeat manner that is understandable to kids whether they are used to being in the environment of a church or not.
At the heart of JR Pitch Alberta are 4 fast-paced General Sessions that include music lead by live bands, multi-media, games that involve the entire audience, and teaching that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
In addition to General Sessions, there are sports tournaments, concerts, wide games, crafts, various other recreational options, and time to hang out with friends.
This is a great event to jump-start your fall junior-high ministry, to develop group identity, and to build relationships with kids.
The registration fee includes camping, meals, and program. The retreat begins with registration Friday night between 6:30 and 9 p.m. and ends with lunch at noon on Sunday.
JR Pitch Alberta and its sister events, JR Pitch Ontario and Pitch & Praise are sponsored by the Evangelical Missionary Church of Canada and open to any groups who wish to attend.
